I heard about this earlier on the radio today as we were driving to Trader Joes to get dinner and groceries. The news was exciting to hear. I am so thrilled that there is affirmative action being taken. Hooray! Congratulations San Francisco. I am with you all the way. The advertising and the psychology behind McDonalds “Happy Meal” is duplicitous. The poor and or those lacking common sense ‘buy’ into it. Please come together and make a difference in what you feed your children. Our future!

Monday, October 4th, 2010I have always wondered if I ever got really famous or wealthy, would I rise up a few levels and start seeing even more the evil ways of the world. Most people go about their day not thinking much about the levels of society that exist. Because really, the bottom level is so much bigger than the rest…we forget that you cannot get into office these days unless you are already a few levels up.
Here is an interesting article from ex-CEO of Google talking about how many laws are written by lobbyists.

On the hot topic of China versus America, he made an pithy distinction between what makes the world’s leading powers uniquely successful. America is a bottoms-up entrepreneurial engine, and China is more like “a well-run large business.”
Google or Schmidt does not have much room too talk really, they use lobbyists as well. I guess it’s always true…..if you have five people at a table they all may not agree on each issue, but each must learn to sit at the table peacefully with the others.
